FAQs
How frequent are therapy sessions?
I recommend weekly sessions (45 minutes) for individuals and couples, especially at the beginning of our work. Some clients will shift to a biweekly schedule sometime down the line.
What is your fee?
My fee is $225 per session for individuals, and $300 per session for couples. Depending on the availability of my sliding scale slots, it may be possible for me to offer a lower fee for clients in need of financial assistance, so please ask!
Do you take insurance?
I do not. However, I can provide you with monthly paperwork (“Superbills”) for you to get reimbursed through your insurance out of network benefits.
What is in network VS out of network?
To help you save money, most health plans provide access to a network of doctors, facilities, and pharmacies. These doctors and facilities must meet certain credentialing requirements and agree to accept a discounted rate for covered services under the health plan in order to be part of the network. These health care providers are considered in network. All other providers are considered out of network.
Do you offer free consultations?
Yes! I offer 15-20 minute initial consultations, free of charge, for us to discuss your needs and what I am able to provide, assess fit, discuss scheduling and fees, and answer any questions you may have for me. Please contact me via email to schedule a consultation.
Can you walk me through the process start to finish?
You can contact me to schedule an initial consultation. If you’d like to move forward with working with me, we will decide on a consistent, weekly slot that works for both of our schedules. As we work on finding an appropriate time slot, I will be sending you an intake packet with forms for you to read and sign. Our first session(s) is what is commonly referred to as the “intake” session(s), during which I will gather basic information about you and what brings you to therapy. After this “intake” process is completed, we can move forward with working toward your therapeutic goals.
Are you offering in-person or virtual sessions?
At this time I am only offering virtual sessions.
