I offer therapy to AAPI (Asian American and Pacific Islander), other BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color), immigrants of all generations, and all oppressed communities.
I welcome clients of all genders, sexual orientations, religions, and abilities.
Individual Therapy
There is a wide range of common concerns that I support clients through, including depression, anxiety, and trauma. I utilize an eclectic mix of theoretical orientations, tailored to each client’s needs, goals, and preferences; most often I lean into a psychodynamic and Internal Family Systems (IFS) lens.
Areas of specialty include:
Boundary setting and communication skills, and other ways to strengthen interpersonal relationships
Healing from trauma
Managing symptoms of depression and anxiety
Managing generational and cultural differences with loved ones
Resting and resisting burnout while surviving in an oppressive, capitalist state
Deepening understanding of race, racism, and racial identity, and coping with the impact of white supremacy (and other oppressive systems)
Couples Therapy
I provide couple’s and marriage counseling for:
BIPOC couples: Through my lived experiences as a POC and immigrant, and ongoing learnings and trainings, I aim to provide a culturally sensitive and informed space for BIPOC couples to grow together and strengthen their relationship.
BIPOC individuals who are in interracial relationships with white partners: I provide support for BIPOC clients who are in romantic partnerships with a white person. My deep understanding of and extended experience in the realm of race, racial identity, and racism, as well as oppression and privilege, will be helpful in supporting both of you navigate this difference in racial identity and all of its implications, with the goal of better understanding and supporting each other on the merging of cultures and .
